Since I was so pleased with the musical note-shaped spoon I made last time, I decided to create a dessert spoon in a similar shape. The dessert spoon was particularly challenging to craft due to its small size—about the size of my finger.

I worked with walnut and ginkgo wood for this project. Ginkgo is softer and easier to carve than walnuts, but you have to be careful with thin sections to avoid breaking them.

As seen in the photos, the connection between the spoon and the handle is very delicate, so I worked carefully to ensure it wouldn’t break.

After almost two months, I finally completed four spoons! They look so cute and pretty when lined up together. I’m already excited to think about what I’ll create next!
